The Veil
Description
SHEER • DIAPHANOUS • LUMINOUS. A threshold between worlds, The Veil is the scent of light filtering through sheer fabric. At the core is a constellation of musks that echo the warmth and intimacy of skin. Orris butter introduces a powdery stillness, while vetiver, Atlas cedarwood, and patchouli provide a grounding current.
When smelling this scent, you might experience: Pale woods and skin musk dissolve into the atmosphere like forgotten fabric.
*PLEASE NOTE: This is an updated formula, which differs from the original 2025 Veil fragrance.
FIRST ENCOUNTER: Silver Vapor
Cool aromatic air drifts through the composition like light moving beneath smoke.
HEART: Moonlight
Soft florals glow faintly beneath layers of silence and shadow.
RESIDUAL HAUNTING: Gray Silk
Pale woods and skin musk dissolve into the atmosphere like forgotten fabric.
Across cultures and eras, the veil has been used to describe the boundary between worlds not as a barrier, but as a threshold. In ancient ritual, in mourning practices, and in spiritual cosmologies, it marks a space that is permeable and unstable. A place where one state begins to dissolve before another fully arrives.
The veil is rarely described in visual terms. It is felt as a softening of perception, a change in the air, a thinning of certainty. Edges blur. Distance becomes difficult to measure. What remains is the sensation of being between, held in suspension.
This fragrance approaches the veil as a sensory condition rather than a symbolic one. It asks how the body responds when familiar signals loosen and the environment becomes slightly unmoored, when perception shifts without clear cause.
